But now you mentioned it, yes indeed! You must be jealous of people who have multiple birth then: one birthday party, and you are done! ;-) I thought the teenage girls would just want to invite a few friends over for a sleepover? Then they paint each other's nails, take pictures, and spend all night on Facebook? I was quite jealous of that. Thank you for sharing the reality with me. I have managed to talk my oldest into "Invite at most 4 friends, and we can go to a movie and have a sleepover" thing. I talk my youngest into "You don't really like people in your class. Why don't we just not have a birthday party because you don't like the noise and the crowd? We will just go to Paint-a-pottery." I am a genius. Bawhahaha... Oh my. I never thought of it as this way. I learned years ago to just take the kid to his favorite restaurant and buy a cake. It's more about getting love than a party so give yourself a break and just stop needing to do a damn party. My kids are fine.
