• Recycled Art for Breakfast

  Wednesday Hump Grub, a day late and a few bucks short.
  In true to Renegade Laziness form, this weeks Hump Grub is written by someone else. Someone brilliant. Someone you’ll love. Her name is Michelle Chapman and she emailed us this amazing recipe on Facebook (subliminal be our fan suggestion). Here goes:

  Being broke is the best creative influence I have had as a cook. Warning though, most of my “Mammas Gone Crazy” recipes are not written down and are subject to change depending on what shit I have on hand.
  Most of my “breakfast” recipes involve my waffle iron, that bitch has cooked every and anything I could mash between her two crusty plates. Practical AND FUN!

  Mammas Gone Crazy Breakfast Waffle

  Ingredients:

  -Cereal (just about any kind works, I use knockoff cheerios alot)
  -Wetness (ie: milk, water, maple syrup,OJ, uh……beer? well, not for the kids)
  -An egg (if you have one)
  -Bacon bits or those crunchy salad topping things
  -A plop of either baking powder or soda
  If you have packets of Sweet N Low, add a couple of them.

  Step 1: Heat waffle iron and spray with something so this mess wont stick too bad.
  Step 2: Mix all of the above ingredients and make sure it sits a few minutes so that the cereal is gooey.
  Step 3: My youngest likes it when I pour the mess onto the iron and then sprinkle some dry cheerios on top before closing.
  Step 4: Cook until it looks like a waffle.

  No maple syrup? We have used honey, corn syrup, molasses, yogurt, ketchup and even sour cream (i know….ugh.)

  Obviously you can add anything to this mixture as long as it has some sort of binding agent to hold it all together. I also make grilled cheese, tacos, egg sammiches, chicken nuggets (when the oven blew up) and even brownie-like brownies that are made from dry potatoes and coco powder. I’m like the friggin MacGyver of the kitchen, hehe.
