coffee vs catastrophe

Something you should never see (or smell) before coffee: crappy  cloth diapers strewn across your living room floor forming a trail from the changing table to The Dog’s bed where she was laying in wait with guilt.

It could quite possibly be the most disgusting thing one could ever encounter.

I stood there in the doorway and my immediate reaction was to yell at someone for not dumping the diapers into the pail in the laundry room last night.  I then realized that would be ME that I would need to yell at and I refuse to yell at myself.  So instead I stood there staring at them; then turning and looking at the coffee maker in the kitchen I had a silent debate with myself.

Resolved: It is better to leave the crappy diapers on the rug and make coffee first.  I took the affirmative on this debate.

I did indeed leave crappy diapers on the floor while I made coffee and drank it in another room.  It was just the sane thing to do.  Maybe not the sanitary thing to do but when you have four kids sometimes sanity becomes a far more important commodity to maintain.
