Maybe I should get married.

Oh my gawd, I just had a panic attack because we’re out of soap for the dishwasher.

“Oh no, whaddoo I do, whaddoo I do?!! How are we going to eat without clean dishes? What is going to happen to all those dirty things racked up and ready in the old Kitchen Aide? Oh my gawd, what the fuck, what do I DO? We have NO dishwasher soap!!”

Then I thought I’d just go borrow some from RM1 (along with some catfood cuz we’re out of that too) and then I remembered she doesn’t have a dishwasher. Then I was seriously like, what do they do with all their dirty dishes WITHOUT A DISHWASHER? AHHHHHH!!!!

Oh, I guess I could wash them. Like, in the sink, with hot soapy gross hand-drying water. Ewwww. NOOOOOO!!!

Now I’m in a real dilemma; roll up my sleeves and wash (shivers!) dishes or get dressed and go buy Calgon or Comet or whatever that green box of wonder crystals is.

I seriously can’t decide which is worse. I don’t know what to do. But I do need catfood so…. I’ll be right back.

Stand by your leisure. If your out of dishsoap, use some other soap. Get creative. Use I Love Lucy for your inspiration. Simple as that.

Unfortunately, or fortunately if you thrive on chaos like I do, I’ve tried the Lucy method. Loads of fun.

What do I do? I make Princess wash them. That’s MY dishwasher but sadly that dishwasher is really loud and annoying when doing dishes. I think I need to upgrade to a Maytag or something…..Hi Maytag!!! ****insert your ad here*****

Uh, pardon my ignorance, but isnt this one of the reasons we have children? I have a lovely dishwasher that makes lots of noise, terrible metal-on-metal noises but she’s a real trooper and I have my kids throw all of the crusty dishes (maybe even dog toys, toothbrushes, sponges and random tools) She cleans like a dream. As for soap…sometimes yes….sometimes eh, hot water kills germs right?

I was going to say that my mom had at least two “dishwashers” in our house at all times. I hated being on kitchen duty. Except the one night my sister and I played Double Dare with a lemon merrenge pie. hhaha. soo much trouble.

My kids are 21, 18 and 7. They aren’t going to do any dishes for me. The 21 year old has his own kitchen and mess, the 18 is BMIA (brain missing in action) and the 7 year old takes three hours to wash one thing. My 20-something year old Kitchen Aide still kicks ass but it doesn’t really work with laundry soap.

The cat needs food, you need to wash the dishes.

Would be a perfect solution except I suppose you have to unload the dishwasher and spread them out on the floor, which is almost as much trouble as washing them yourself, or getting dressed and going to the store.
